Back to school is one of my favourite times of year. Not only do I get to reclaim some of my time after a summer full of non-stop kids, but I have a built in excuse valid reason to do some serious shopping! 

Back to school shopping has been a much-loved tradition in our household for as long as I can remember. The commercials that sing “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” are bang on. My daughter and I love to make a whole day of it, picking out her school supplies, new indoor shoes and maybe if she’s lucky, a new outfit or two.

The only trouble, if it can really be called trouble, is finding a little too much and having to narrow down my choices. I wanted one of everything! 

The staff were the perfect balance of helpful but not too intrusive, being available and on hand when I had a question, but letting me browse in peace. It’s a quality that can make or break a shopping experience and I’m happy to say, I enjoyed every minute I spent in their store! They’ve even thought of the small details like having toy stations for your littles to enjoy while you do your shopping. I love that they have one attached to the counter at each till so your kiddos stay right with you while you’re paying and don’t wander off. I’ve never seen that anywhere else, and believe me, it’s appreciated!  

     

I will confess that I didn’t only do back to school shopping. Heads would roll if I came home with clothes for my 6 year old but nothing for my 2 year old. Plus, I couldn’t resist going a little matchy-matchy, something that I rarely indulge in. The Carter’s | OshKosh B’gosh Back-to-School Collection was just too cute and stylish – the perfect blend of fashion forward, and non juvenile without being inappropriately adult. Best of all, it’s super comfortable and easy to move in. I only wish they came in my size!
