Thankfully Netflix feeds our addiction with all our favourite Disney movies both old and new. At 3 and 7 years old, my girls are surprisingly not into princesses as much as one might think – only a few get the thumbs up when movie night rolls around. I’m usually the one voting for all the romance and happily ever after, my kids have different priorities when it’s their turn to choose.

Zootopia is number 1 on the list because it’s all my kids can talk about these days. They watch it in French. They watch it in English. They pretend to be the characters. They pretend to go “savage” (although I’m not convinced that’s pretend)! I also love the timely lessons they’re learning with the morals woven throughout the plot.
