Friends Forever #StreamTeam

Parenting can be isolating. Friendships help alleviate the loneliness that so many moms feel. When I’m not able to spend time with my friends, there are always great movies and shows on Netflix that remind me how important friendships are for making life sweeter. Here are some top picks that celebrate friendship:

The Bucket List

This buddy movie explores life (and death) with cancer. Two strangers become best friends and travel the world. The bond they develop is heartwarming and the dialogue is clever.

Friends

Sometimes you need more than just one friend. You need a group of friends. A tribe. That’s why Friends is such a great series – it reminds you of what it’s like hanging out with your group of friends and how special that is.

My Little Pony

For the younger crowd – there’s My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Friendship Games. My girls are crazy for My Little Pony and it’s helping them warm up to new friendships. My youngest is cautious of new people and my eldest is shy.

Just Friends

Friendships are important because sometimes they start out that way and end up something more. How many great relationships (and great kids!) come from those situations? When your spouse is one of your best friends, it makes for even more fun.

One of the best recent Netflix additions is:

Friends From College

Friends from college is unexpectedly endearing and humorous, with twists and turns and laughs. It is very easy to binge on this and find yourself unexpectedly bereft at the end because there are no more episodes left. Eek! You’ll wish they were your friends from college.

With all these options, it’s clear you’ve got a friend in Netflix (and maybe more than one!) Sit back, relax, and let the good times roll.

Disclosure: I’m part of the Netflix StreamTeam which means I get exclusive perks for sharing my family’s viewing habits with you. That being said, all opinions (and adventures with my friends) are my own.
